IAFBA SUBROTO MEMORIAL SCHOLARSHIP SCHEME

IAFBA sanctions scholarships to the children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel. The scholarship scheme is as below :

School Education  : 

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 3000 p.a.   

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying in XI th and XII th only.

2.        Purely on merit basis

3.        Should have scored a minimum of 65% in X Board Exam

4.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 2 yrs or completion of school education whichever is earlier

Documents required  :

X Board examination marks sheet for children studying in XI th satandard

X th and XI th class marks sheets if studying in XII th class

College Education ( Under Graduate )

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 3600 p.a.

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying any graduation.

2.        Purely on merit basis

3.        Should have scored a minimum of 65% in XII Board Exam

4.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 3 yrs or completion of the course whichever is earlier

Documents required  :

XII Board mark sheet for children studying in 1st year graduation

XII th Board marks sheet and previous year/semester marks sheets if studying in 2nd or 3rd year

College Education ( Under Graduate - Professional )

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 6000 p.a.

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying any Professional graduation.

2.        Purely on merit basis

3.        Should have scored a minimum of 65% in XII Board Exam

4.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 5 yrs or completion of the course whichever is earlier

Documents required  :

XII Board mark sheet for children studying in 1st year graduation

XII th Board marks sheet and previous year/semester marks sheets if studying in 2nd or 3rd year

College Education ( Post Graduation )

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 6000 p.a.

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying any Post graduation.

2.        Purely on merit basis

3.        Should have scored a minimum of 65% in Degree Exam

4.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 3 yrs or completion of Post graduation whichever is earlier

Documents required  :

Degree examination marks sheet of all the years for children studying in 1st year Post graduation

Degree examination marks sheet of all the years and previous year/semester marks sheet of PG Degree if studying in 2nd or 3rd year

PHMC children  :  ( Less than 70% Disability )

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 6000 p.a.

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying/undergoing training in any recognised instittion

2.        Purely on disability basis

3.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 3 yrs or completion of training/education whichever is earlier. Will be extended to a maximum of 10 years but renewable after every 3 yrs provided child has got a minimum of 50% disability

PHMC children  :  ( 70% or more Disability )

Scholarship amount  :  Rs. 7500 p.a.

Eligibility  :

1.        For children of Retired and Deceased AF Personnel who are studying/undergoing training in any recognised instittion

2.        Scholarship is for a maximum period of 10 yrs

General Instructions :

1.         The scholarship schemes are managed and administered by the Executive Committee of the IAB Benevolent Association.

2.         The application form duly completed in all respects is to be sent to the Secretary, IAF Benevolent Association, AFGIS Bhavan, Subroto Park, New Delhi 110010 so as to reach the office by 30 Sep (R) 30 Sep.  However, application for Under Gradute Professional courses (MBBS/BE/B Tech) only can be submitted up to 31 Oct (R) 31 Oct each year.

3.         A child should secure minimum 60% for continuation of scholarship (45% in case of school going children of Serving NCs (E)).

4.         Children of deceased/retired AF personnel are eligible to apply only if parents are in receipt of pension.

5.         The child should be a regualr student in a school/college/institution recongnised by Centre/State Board or University.

6.         Merit List will be published on IAFBA webpages under `welfare’ link of www.indianairforce.nic.in and under `AOA Branch Dtes’ link of www.aoa.iaf.in after finalisation of sholarship.
